Amelie’s, the Charlotte-based French bakery, features finalized a lease for a fresh location at Park path Shopping Center, handling lover Bruce Willette said Monday.

Known for its eclectic decorations and pastries, the most recent Amelie’s place will continue the brand’s expansion. Amelie’s recently started an 11, 000 square-foot uptown place, which includes a production cooking area for making pastries. In addition to its original area on North Davidson Street, Amelie’s operates stores in Carmel Commons, Rock Hill and Atlanta.

Willette said the Amelie’s in Park path mall is 5, 400 square feet, and will integrate a patio patio. It will be located on the shopping center’s straight back lot, behind the key strip of buildings and almost restaurant RockSalt and a well planned Midwood Smokehouse.

“Every Amelie’s is somewhat different, ” said Willette. “We think it's a fantastic fit.”

Willette stated the business plans to begin construction in August or September and can open the new place this winter months, possibly in January or February. Just like the uptown and Carmel Commons area, the Park path shopping mall store will include beer and wine.

“It’s outstanding demographic for us, ” stated Willette. “i believe it’s a few of the premier retail area within the Southeast.”

Retail real estate company Edens purchased the shopping center last year for $82 million, and it has dedicated to substantial renovations. The business features overhauled Park path mall’s tenant combine, including stores such as for instance J. Crew Mercantile and a set of upscale restaurants set to open this spring where the previous Monkey Joe’s building had been positioned.
