Why I went Green and now share how to be Green to others
Growing up, I never thought about being green - I mean sure, my family recycled our cans, bottles and such, but not much more than that.
However as I grow older and read more effects of how we are polluting our environment and its side effects has really gotten my attention.
I now have more of a holistic approach to my health needs. Why spend my hard earned dollars on pharmaceuticals when their effects are worse than what I am taking the drug(s) for? Whereas, I can find a more natural way of addressing my health issue without harmful effects.
I also starting thinking about how I pollute my own home - so I can have that "Clean" bleach smell in my home. I never thought about the harmful effects of absorbing and inhaling the toxic fumes before I reached 30. Knowing how my family was prevalent to cancer, I sought out ways to help me achieve the same desired effect of having a clean home without the use of harmful chemicals.
Not long after I started making this transition, I learned about a company called H2O at Home that sold products that helped me to become more Efficient in my cleaning (by 40%), that was Eco-friendly (a major plus), they were Easy to use, but also Economical as I would purchase products that would last me 1.5 to 2 years vs spending money every month on other "Green" cleaners.
I had never heard of this company and was skeptical on their products performance - a Laundry Ball that cleans your clothes with no laundry soap; washing my windows - leaving them streak-free with just water; and there was the soft scrub clay that can clean my shower doors of hard water stains, clean my stainless steel items (without scratching) and many other items with almost little effort. After going to a co-workers home for her Get Green Together party, I decided to watch and listen to see if these items were worth the purchase.
During the show, I witnessed the adviser showing the use of the clay on a silver platter that was almost black with oxygenation. With a little water and the clay, the adviser took years off the platter - making it look almost brand new! The platter sparked and shinned where she used the clay - I was amazed.
The adviser also showed the use of their Microfiber towels that just with water, she was able to clean all of the dog slobber and dirty dog paw prints on a sliding glass door - streak free!
Before the show ended, she told us of how her husband who is sensitive to detergents uses the laundry ball to clean his dusty and sweaty clothes he wears when working in Afghanistan. She said that neither of them use any soap and all of their clothes come out clean and soft and best of all - the ball lasts 1000 washes at the price of 1 months worth of laundry soap!
Since the company offered a 30 day money back guarantee if I decided I didn't like the product - my first purchase was the Laundry Ball, but also booked a party of my own so that I could get the rest of my wish items for free or at a discount.
At my own party, I was amazed how these products worked in my own home - I was even shown a glove that cleaned my microfiber couch with just water - it took years off dirt and body oils off the arms. I was sold - I wanted to sell these items and share my experiences with others to help them to become Green when cleaning their homes.
Why not help the environment while also helping your pocket book as well? To me, it's a no brainier.
